456 CARE AND USE Melamine Dinnerware and Serveware Melamine is extremely durable when cared for properly. It is not recommended for microwave use and should be washed only in a high-temperature dishwasher. Avoid using it with heat lamps or in the oven as melamine will melt in high heat. For serving suggestions, we advise against direct contact with citric, acidic, or strongly colored foods. These may cause staining over time. Wrought Iron Griddles Prior to use, wash griddle by hand with warm water and a mild detergent. Dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth. Do not place wrought iron griddles in the dishwasher or expose them to abrasive sponges, caustic cleaners, or acidic detergents. Wood Products To clean wood peels, serving and cutting boards and platters, simply wipe with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry. Never soak in water, even if only for a short time. To seal, apply a thin coat of any food-safe oil, such as mineral oil. When properly sealed, the wood is less likely to absorb unwanted odors, food particles, or moisture. If a peel or board becomes warped, place it overnight with the warped side facing up to flatten out. Carbon and Black Steel Fry and Paella Pans Seasoning is recommended before first use. To season, wipe interior of pan with flavorless cooking oil and heat empty pan. When surface becomes hot, remove from heat and allow pan to cool. Repeat this process twice. Color of pan will change to a darker finish. This indicates that the pan has gained a natural non-stick protection. To clean, hand wash in hot water with mild detergent. Dry with paper towel or place in warm oven for a few minutes. Re-season the pan when necessary to prevent food from sticking. Store in dry place. Do not put in dishwasher or expose to abrasive sponges or acidic detergents. Not suitable for microwave. CAUTION: Handles are not heat-resistant. Galvanized Pails and Tubs To clean, hand wash in warm water with mild detergent and dry quickly. Do not put in dishwasher or expose to abrasive sponges, bristles, caustic cleaners or acidic detergents. Do not refrigerate, soak in water or use with acidic foods. Hammered Copper As beautiful as copper is, it requires special attention when cleaning. Please hand wash only with a soft cloth. Do not scour with steel wool or abrasive cleaners. Copper polish may be required to maintain the beauty of the surface. Securit Signs To erase Securit Original Chalk Marker messages on Table Boards, Mini Chalkboards, Wall Boards, Sandwich Boards, and other Securit signage, wipe with a soapy cloth followed by a clean cloth. Acrylic Display Cases To clean the acrylic, use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth and avoid abrasive materials like scouring pads, rough towels, or brushes, which can scratch the surface. Refrain from using harsh chemicals— including ammonia, bleach, or solvent-based cleaners—as they may cause clouding, cracking, or discoloration. Keep sharp objects away to prevent damage, and avoid placing extremely hot items directly on the acrylic, since high temperatures can warp or melt the material. BuffetBoost Collection After use, turn off the device and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Wipe the surface lightly with a damp cloth and a mild, diluted detergent as needed, taking care to avoid high-alkaline cleaners, dishwashers, or submerging the unit in water or other liquids. For lithium-ion battery use, remove the battery before storing the device, recharge it after each use, and avoid leaving it fully drained. If the battery will be stored for an extended period, charge it every three months and ensure charging occurs in temperatures between 40°F and 100°F. See amnow.com for additional instructions on each device.
